Welcome to the CCP Employment: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Toolkit!
We’re excited to provide this resource for local SMEs looking to foster a more inclusive, equitable and diverse workforce. This toolkit has been designed to help you navigate the various aspects of hiring, supporting and empowering ethnically diverse talent, as well as implementing robust DEI practices in your organization. We believe that a thriving, diverse workforce is the foundation of a strong, innovative community and this toolkit reflects our commitment to supporting this mission.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Overview
In the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) section, we offer tools and insights to assist your organization in cultivating a welcoming and inclusive work environment. Our initiative has emphasized events that focus on DEI practices, including both in-person gatherings and online webinars. These efforts encompass best practices for measuring and implementing a cohesive and effective DEI strategy, understanding cultural differences and educating the workforce on enhancing cultural awareness and inclusiveness.
WHY WE CREATED THIS TOOLKIT
As part of our dedication to advancing diversity and inclusion across the city, we created this toolkit to provide free, reliable resources tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises. We know that navigating the world of immigration policies, DEI practices and inclusive recruitment can be complex and time-consuming. That’s why we’ve carefully curated these resources—making it easier for your organization to access:
- Links to relevant websites and platforms offering guidance on hiring, sponsorship and DEI practices.
- Up-to-date information on immigration laws and compliance requirements.
- Tools for inclusive hiring and DEI self-assessment that can be easily implemented.
- Recordings of previous CCP events for those unable to attend, allowing you to revisit key discussions, presentations, and workshops.
- Articles and research reports that provide insights on the benefits and best practices of a diverse workforce.

This toolkit is intended to be a dynamic, evolving resource. We recognize that the landscape of DEI, immigration policies and inclusive employment practices is ever-changing, and we’re committed to keeping the toolkit relevant and up-to-date.
