VTF Construction Academy
Course Overview
This is a two-week practical course that offers you training specifically tailored to the Construction sector with recognised certificates. You will also receive employability skills support and have the option of attending a guaranteed interview with a recruiting employer.
This training will focus on preparing you to apply for roles such as a Labourer, Groundworker, Plant Operator, Road Maintenance Worker and Construction Apprentice.
Course Content

- Health & Safety (Construction Environment)
- Risk Assessment Awareness
- Waste Awareness
- Optional Introduction to Construction Award (Level 1/ SCQF level 4)
- Green Skills and Net Zero Awareness
You will also receive:
- An insight into the sector from an industry professional
- CV building and interview skills support
- A guaranteed interview with a recruiting employer
- Signposting to further support from suitable employability service providers
